
Artistic Director: Gillian Stine
Gillian (she/her/hers) is a 4th year BA Theatre major with a minor in Florida Teaching. A lifelong theatre-goer and participant, she has been involved with Florida Players since her first semester – both onstage and off! In the future, Gillian hopes to work in higher education, working with college applicants and student affairs. She served as the Secretary for the ’20-’21 year, and is proud to lead the organization that’s become her home away from home. If you have any questions or just want to chat, feel free to reach out!

Assistant Artistic Director: Skye Jackson
Skye Jackson is a fourth year student at UF studying history and economics on a pre-law track. While her career goals aren’t specifically theatre oriented, her life has been enriched by her background in acting and musical performance in a way which will surely translate to the courtroom. While she loved performing in high school, having been involved in over ten productions before coming to college- she found her niche was in directing and with Florida Players she has held the positions of assistant director, co-director, and director. She is so excited to be the AAD her senior year and has so many exciting ideas for this upcoming season. She encourages anyone interested in learning more about FP, directing, or her position to reach out!

Production Manager: Remy Ronkin
Remy Ronkin (he/him/his and they/them/theirs) is a second-year psychology student with an event management minor. He has previously worked as a director for New Works and was on the Special Events committee for a year before joining the new board. They love playwriting and telling stories, and hope to translate this love to the production management position. He looks forward to putting on some amazing productions!

Assistant Production Manager: Isabela Estrada
Isabela Estrada is a third-year theatre major at the University of Florida. She has been acting since elementary school and absolutely loves it. She has been a part of Florida Players since her freshman year, working as the Costumer Designer/Swing in Milligrams and Stage Manager in The Bug That Knows. Isabela is excited to get to work and make this year the best one yet for Florida Players.

Secretary: Say Penland

Say Penland (she/they) is a 2nd year General Psychology major (also hoping to add a dual major with a B.A. in Theatre later this year). She is looking forward to working on the Florida Players Executive Board this year as Secretary! They are passionate about theatre, going into their second year with Florida Players and their sixth year of general involvement in theatre. They would love to help you out in any way they can. Come to her with any questions, and she’ll be happy to answer them! She’s excited to meet everyone and have a great year!

Director of Finance: Taylor Ho
Taylor is a third year Theatre major and is hoping to also pick up Finance as a second major this year. She is so excited to be serving on the Florida Players Executive Board for the 2021-22 school year. Her goal is to continue to grow the FP community and wants to welcome you to the family. Director of Special Events: Jessie Anthony
Jessie Anthony (she/her/hers) is a second-year English major and is so excited to be Director of Special Events this year. This will be her first year on the Executive Board, and now that we are able to meet in-person she can’t wait to plan some fun social events! In addition to theatre, Jessie has previous experience in competitive dance and choir. Her other interests include reading, board games, and watching movies. Director of Outreach: Jacqueline St. Pierre

Jacqueline St. Pierre (she/her/hers) is a sophomore Economics major with a passion for the performing arts! Jacqueline is thrilled to serve as Director of Outreach in her second year on the Florida Players Executive Board. She has been involved with Florida Players since her first semester and cannot wait to continue exploring and growing as a theatre artist with the best people and organization on campus! As Director of Outreach, she helps facilitate internal and external communication to build and maintain Florida Player’s relationships. Her goal this year is to guide the growth of this organization with the help of its members. She wants your input and is here for you! Eugene Gurary (he/him) is a second-year Psychology Major and is incredibly excited to be serving on the 2021-2022 Florida Players Executive Board! As Webmaster, he’s responsible for maintaining and updating the website you’re currently on and creating the best possible user experience. Historian: Jaden Koller

Jaden Koller (she/her/hers) is a first year BA Theatre major at the University of Florida and plans to add a second major in Journalism at the start of her sophomore year. She has been involved in theatre since middle school, enjoying all aspects both on and off stage. While she has only been involved with Florida Players for a short time, she is absolutely thrilled to be a part of the family. As historian, Jaden is responsible for photographing Florida Players events, as well as the upkeep of Florida Players archives. She cannot wait to see the phenomenal shows and experiences the 2021-2022 school year brings.

Faculty Advisor: Anna Sullivan Kvam
Anna Sullivan Kvam was born near Chicago, IL and spent most of her schools years performing. After seeing a production of Bye Bye Birdie at age five, Anna fell in love with theatre and singing. She spent ages five through her college years singing in choirs, and attended a performing arts high school where she was involved in numerous productions each year, most notably Kate Keller in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, Elmire in Tartuffe, and a chorus member in numerous musicals including West Side Story, Once on this Island, Music Man, and Pippin. She also had the opportunity to produce and direct Paula Vogel’s How I Learned to Drive as her senior thesis. After high school, she attended Indiana University where she attained dual degrees in Theatre and Drama and Elementary Education. While at IU, she performed in Rent, Hamlet, and was part of the American cast of Murry McGibbon’s The African Tempest Project.
After undergrad, Anna moved into teaching and taught middle school science for seven years in Bloomington, IN. While in Indiana, Anna served on the Cardinal Stage Company’s Education Board where she helped advise and support the connection between schools and live theatre. Upon moving to Florida, Anna began a new facet of her career in Admissions at UF, which led her to be the advisor for the Student Admissions Officers. In her role as Advisor, Anna has discovered a new passion for helping support student organizations, and she looks forward to continuing this journey with her support of the Florida Players. She lives in Gainesville with her husband, UF Psychology Professor Dr. Peter Kvam, and their beagle mix Huckleberry.
